I could. The atmosphere was just different--much more vibrant and livelier. Somehow I just love Hwa Chong mass dances...they are so fun and cute! Its also really heartening to see many of our good old seniors again--I havent kept in touch with them for some time.
I went to the Chemistry Faculty display room. There was a mini activity there which displayed around 7 or 8 bottles of solutions of salts of transition metals which you are told to identify. Those basic manganate, dichromate and copper cations are easy, but there was just these two bottles of yellow solutions which no matter how you scrutinize you wont be able to tell the difference. The Chemistry teacher there did so. Makes you think thrice about QA next year. Just get a packet of Chrysanthemum tea, pour them into 2 beakers, there you go. By the way, Medicinal Chemistry is going to be offered as H3 for our IP batch. Cool. They are going to get professors from NUS to come down to teach students basic stuff about Medicine!
Apart from visiting those booths, I spent lots of time chatting with Wen Xi, Yong Liang and Alex about college life. Seems that I am wanting too much, which isn't a good thing. Nevertheless I left open house with a clearer sense of what I intend to do next year. Firstly, I would join canoeing and train hard. I am in need of some good sports. According to Yong Liang, they accept people who have a good attitude, no sports background needed. Secondly, I will join CO as well, but I would not be one of those regulars I guess...perhaps chipping in only when concert or SYF is near. CO is part of me, my roots, my interest and where I truly enjoy myself with the company of my CO mates. At the same time, I've got to be realistic, I won't be able to commit myself to 2 ccas simultaneously. Last but never the least, studies would be my top priority. Yes, here's an aspiring Hwa Chong mugger. BCMK, and hopefully 2 H3s. Yes, and that means I am not going to join Council.
I am still open and the above is subjected to changes as I find out more and give myself more time to think through.
Hmm... There is a difference between typing and writing, someone once mentioned that you cant write poetry on the computer. At least it has been so. In lieu of exams, my keyboard has been rather dusty and typing ability rusty. So I am somehow stuck and faced with some kind of irritating hindrance as I keyboard down my thoughts.
Thus, I shall go watch my 7 swords dvd now.
