If cellulose is digestible by salivary amylase, I swear my G diao Dizi would be glucose by now.

I am seriously wondering if the alveoli in my lungs are going to fly out soon. Or if I am going to get...what you call that? Ah yes, emphysema.

I am pissed. Perpetual Motion was never meant for dizi in the first place. You can go nuts with violin erhu liu qin. Make your hand convulse wildly for all you care. Let your fingers fly.

But never for dizi. Theres just a limit how fast your tongue can flick. And I suppose its not pleasant to stage it--the audience at the front rows would need umbrellas.

More importantly, you need to BREATHE simultaneously as you do double tongueing to ensure that the motion is perpetual.

That day Benjamin Ang asked me what speed I was at and said that he could do it at 132 but had at least one break in between. He was saying that 132 wasnt fast enough and sent me a MP3. The dizi player did double tongueing cum breathing at godspeed.

Well, zls mentioned last week to me that so long as you can play clearly, you do not have to go that fast. That was rather comforting.

I once said the hardest part is the relentless and zealous pursuit of the highest musical realm, which cannot be understood or reached through sheer hard work. It is abit of talent and gift, whether you can ling3 wu4. Skills are nothing, just practice and eventually anyone will be able to acquire it.

But now, I realized that there are some hardcore skills that simply requires more time (and yes, abit of talent) to master well. I am sure if given one year, I would be able to achieve more, but fact is, throughout the year I havent really been touching these hardcore songs seriously. Some time during the mid year when Benjamin was already "playing even faster than I (zls) am" to quite from zls, I still havent mastered the skill.

Now I am rushing through them...lol...screw the breathe out of me.

I shall continue to practice nevertheless. I am determined in the face of such adversity.

Till the day where it's amylase no longer.

But haemoglobin.
